Android 16 is closer than you expect, unlike Google's usual system, things will be different this time. Android 16 will officially come before the end of mid-2025, unlike what Google always does, which is to launch the system in the fall of each year. But on the other hand, it cannot be said that the system will come with a lot of features, but rather a simple set of services only. Here are some of the most prominent features that we expect to see soon.
Notifications Cooldown
Have you ever had your phone start ringing and sending continuous notifications one after the other? For example, when connecting to the internet after a certain period of time. It must be very annoying, right? Android 16 will bring a simple and distinctive feature through which notifications are slowed down or partially disabled if they continue one after the other, and this feature is called Notification Cooldown. The user can enable or disable it as needed, and in case it is enabled, the notifications do not disappear completely, but can be viewed from the notifications list, except that the phone vibration or ringtones will not be activated in this case.
Quick settings menu for new phones
Privacy Dashboard feature
Privacy settings are still a big concern, not only for users, but also for companies that have problems with companies regarding this matter. So in Android 16, we see a completely new feature in the system, which is (Privacy Dashboard). In the privacy dashboard, you will be able to control all applications, permissions, and everything related to privacy from there. More importantly, you get a daily, weekly, and even monthly report on privacy and permissions, so you can know which applications access the camera the most, for example, or speakers, or geographic location.
Share audios across multiple devices
Here’s a use case: You and your friend want to watch a movie in a public place, and you both have two earphones, but the phone only accepts the connection from one earphone. Android 16 will solve this problem, and allow the phone to connect from different and multiple devices at the same time. So, for example, you can watch the same video or movie and stream the audio to your Bluetooth earphones together. This new feature in Android 16 will change the way we use our audio devices at the same time, and will help users listen to the same content on multiple devices. Some earphones with Bluetooth 5.2 and above have already been able to connect from more than one device.
