held next January.
Samsung is holding an “Unpacked” event in January to unveil the Galaxy S25 series, and in a new teaser the Korean giant confirmed its plans to unveil the mixed reality headset at the conference, but expectations indicate that Samsung will provide a visual presentation in a video clip or photos during the event.
Samsung followed the same strategy when it first unveiled its Galaxy Ring smart ring during its Unpacked event in January, and then the smart ring was officially launched in July.
On the other hand, reports indicate that the Korean giant will complete the development of XR glasses completely next year, and they will be launched in the markets in the third quarter of 2025.
Leaks indicate that Samsung's mixed reality glasses will weigh only 50 grams, and will mimic the traditional design of glasses, and will also support payment, artificial intelligence features, and facial recognition technology, with an interface that supports gesture control.
It is noteworthy that Samsung has been developing XR glasses in cooperation with Google and Qualcomm since February 2023, and Samsung is scheduled to reveal software dedicated to XR glasses at the end of this month.
